Your visit isn’t complete without a trip to the Nathaniel Hawthorne House where the author’s life in Salem is preserved.

Directions: From Boston by train (30 minutes): Newburyport/Rockport line from North Station. Exit Salem Depot and walk toward Washington Street. Turn right onto Washington Street, left onto Derby Street. The house is a 20-minute walk from the depot.
