Discover the revolutionary generation of Bostonians who blazed a trail from colonialism to independence on Boston's Freedom Trail.  A red brick or painted line directs you to 16 historical sites that give the visitor a coherent view of the city's role in the nation's history.    Tours begin at the Boston Common Visitor’s Center on Tremont Street and end at Quincy Market, covering the following sites: Boston Common, New State House, Park Street Church, Granary Burying Grounds, King’s Chapel, the first public school site, the Old Corner Bookstore, Old South Meeting House, Old State House, Boston Massacre Site, and Faneuil Hall. Tours are approximately 90 minutes.

Some of the sites along the trail or in close proximity (15 minutes or less) are the New England Aquarium , the Children's Museum,  and Paul Revere's House.  Also check out  the Museum of Fine Arts, Museum of Science, JFK Library and Museum, Boston Public Garden,  Old North Church, the USS Constitution, and the New England Holocaust Memorial.

Hours: April 15–November 15: Tours leave daily at 11:00 am, noon, and 1:00 pm. Closed: December 25–March 3.  May be closed major U.S. holidays.
