Founded in 1636, just 16 years after the arrival of the pilgrims at Plymouth, Harvard University is the oldest and one of the foremost  institutions of higher learning in the United States. Harvard enrollment numbers about 7,000 undergraduate and 13,000 graduate students with a faculty of 2,300.  Some of the Harvard sports and training facilities include Harvard Stadium (built in 1903), Lavietes Pavilion, Malkin Athletic Center, Bright Hockey Center, and Weld Boathouse.  Widener Library in Harvard Yard is the fourth largest library collection in the world.  Art museums operated by Harvard include Harvard Museum of Natural History, Fogg Museum of Art, the Busch-Reisinger Museum, the Sackler Museum, and the Peabody Museum of Archaelogy and Ethnology.
