One of Boston's most famous historical attractions can be found along the Freedom Trail.  In the heart of Boston right across from it's famous waterfront, three beautifully preserved 19th century buildings have become one of  the area's top destinations.  Uniquely crafted one-of-a-kind gifts can be found among the collections of shops and street vendors.  History buffs can also visit the onsite museum.  It is a heavily visited area so be prepared for crowds.  Make sure you come hungry because the food selection and quality is sure to whet your appetite.   Beware that it is often difficult to find a place to sit.   

The New England Aquarium is nearby and might be a good place to walk off all that eating. Other attractions within a five-minute walk are the Children's Museum, The Old State House, and Paul Revere's House. Also check out the Museum of Fine Arts, Museum of Science, JFK Library and Museum, Boston Common, Old North Church, the USS Constitution, and the New England Holocaust Memorial.
