MOS is reknown for being on the cutting edge of science education with its innovative and interactive exhibits and programs which both entertain and educate.  The Mugar state-of-the-art film technology projects larger-than-life images onto a five-story high, domed screen creating a "you are there" experience for viewers.  It is an example of the Museum's commitment to making science fun and accessible to all.  Also at the museum is the Hayden Planetarium.

Plan your day well if you want to be able to see all three exhibit hall wings, the Discovery Center, Investigate, and the Theatre of Electricity as well as the Omni Theater and the Hayden Planetarium shows.   There are over 450 interactive exhibits certain to stimulate your comprehension of the subject matter.  Scientific subjects of all kinds are considered:  dinosaurs, natural history, marine biology, physical science, electronics - even the inner workings of an ATM are exposed for everyone to see.  See what kind of music you make on a staircase made up of piano keys.  Learn more about Boston's biggest public works project ever as you 'experience' The Big Dig.
